What's On this Weekend - Thursday 20th June

Lounge Bar

The Denmark v England Euro football match will be shown live at 5pm tonight on all the tv screens in the Lounge Bar. The bar will be opening at the earlier time of 5pm to accommodate this.

The Tennis Team Night is on this Saturday night in the lounge bar from 18:30 for all team players.

The Scotland vs Hungary match will be shown in the bar at 20:00 on Sunday. Hope to see lots of you there!

Padel Tennis

We are delighted to see both members and non-members now enjoying the new padel courts. There are still some more taster sessions running for those that haven't had a go yet, these can be booked for free on the Newlands LTC ClubSpark website. There are still some spaces left for the Friday 13:00 and 13:30 sessions this week! Next week we have Monday 19:00 & 19:30 and Wednesday 19:00 & 19:30 which also still have some availability.

Tennis

Congratulations to both our Ladies and Mens 1st Teams who competed in the Scottish Cup Final last weekend at Whitecraigs. The ladies bet Braid 5-2 making them 5-time Scottish Cup champions! The men lost to Thorn Park 5-4 after a very tight third set match tie-break.

Saturday Coaching

The following free Club classes are available to book via the Steel Tennis app:

Mini Club morning: Saturday 10 -11am for all mini members

Junior Club morning: Saturday 11am -12.30pm for all junior members

Adult Club afternoon: Saturday 12.30 - 2pm for adult members who can serve, rally and be comfortable covering both singles and doubles court. This session is a mixture of singles and doubles skills/drills/tactics.

Squash

The free Junior squash coaching with Matt Bedwell is ON this Saturday:

1-2pm for under 10's

2-3pm for age 10+

No need to book, just turn up on the day!

Cafe Dropshot

Cafe Dropshot is open as usual this weekend Friday- Monday 9am-3pm, with last hot food orders at 2:30.

Fitness

Victoria's yoga is ON tomorrow at 09:15 as usual. This Friday is the final session before a break over the school summer holidays.

Jacquie's Saturday morning Circuit class from 9-10am is ON as normal.

No need to book. All you need is water and a mat.
