It is with deep regret and sadness that we have to announce the death of Mike after a long struggle bravely borne.
Mike was an integral part of the Club for over 50 years. He was President in 1969, 1972 and 1986 and served on many committees. He won the gents singles tennis club championship in 1968 and then won then squash club championship in 1973. A remarkable achievement having your name engraved on all 3 boards at the Club!
The McKnight family have always been involved in the life of the Club and this support still continues today.
Mike was an active social member who supported as well as organised a variety of events over the years. He was never short of ideas and his sense of fun was infectious!
He made life long friends at the Club and will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts are with Dorothy, Gillian, Calum and his extended family at this difficult time.
