Another busy week at Newlands with a full and varied weekend ahead!
Richard and his team of volunteers have done a fantastic job in putting up our new windbreaks over the last couple of weeks. It has been and still is a massive and tricky undertaking so many thanks to all involved.The courts are now looking smart and ready for another packed tennis season at Newlands!
Thanks also to Sam and Audrey for tackling the dirty job of clearing out and deep cleaning our kitchen with a little help from myself! They have done a fantastic job - what a transformation! We now have a place for everything and everything in it’s place! So no excuses if you are ever using the kitchen not to tidy up!
Thanks also to Bruce for managing to clean off the dirty marks on the walls saving us from having to have any painting touch ups.
This weekend we have a private quiz night for charity on Friday at 7.30pm and on Saturday we are hosting an evening wedding reception at 7:30pm. This Wednesday from 12 noon Mike McKnight's funeral reception will also be held in the bar.
We are still collecting Easter Eggs at reception until this Wednesday at midday for a local food bank
There is no tennis coaching this weekend but the free squash mini and junior coaching sessions are on as normal this Saturday 1-2pm and 2-3pm with Matt Bedwell.
A reminder that subscriptions are due today for 2022/23. Please see last Friday's email for details on how to pay.
Hopefully with better, warmer weather on the horizon and our quality tennis matches on show our Beer Garden will be well used again this spring and summer.
