Welcome - Mark Malcolm

Newlands and Steel Tennis are delighted to welcome Mark Malcolm to the Tennis Team from January on a full time basis.
Mark has played tennis since a young age, playing for and captaining North of Scotland county teams at various ages. Mark’s last county appearance was winning the over 35s British County Championships at Eastbourne. He has achieved much success at club level reaching the Scottish Cup finals on several occasions.
He has achieved his LTA Level 4 coaching qualification and has over 20 years experience as a coach and head coach at clubs throughout Scotland. During this time Mark has coached players aged 3-70 at club, regional and national level. He was also coach to Bruce Strachan who reached a career high 1100 in the world.
Mark enjoys coaching any age and standard from club tennis with doubles tactics to 5 year olds starting their journey. His goal is to help players be the best they can be.
Mark lives with his family locally and can’t wait to get involved in our club and coaching programme.
He will be in the club on 23rd and 27th December for some of the festive sessions, including an Adult Tournament at 2pm on the 27th - please sign up at Reception now!
