Dear Members,
We are hosting the LTA Visually Impaired Regional Tournament on Saturday 17th October and Sunday 18th October 2026, and volunteers are needed to help make the event a success.
This tournament provides an important opportunity for visually impaired athletes of all abilities to take part in local competition. Many players require support on court to ensure they enjoy a positive and rewarding competitive experience.
Volunteers must be aged 14 or over and may be asked to:
Escort players to and from their courts
Assist players in preparing to serve or receive
Ensure courts are clear of tennis balls before each point
Support players during changeovers
Update scoreboards
Provide general assistance to tournament organisers
All matches will be officiated by LTA Licensed Officials, so no previous experience is required.
Volunteer Hours
Saturday: 8.30am - 6.00pm
Sunday: 8.30am - 5.00pm
Please note that hours may be shorter depending on the number of entries. Volunteers will receive a complimentary event t-shirt.
Without volunteers, many of these athletes would not be able to participate. If you can spare some time to help, your support would make a real difference.
